Taking Your Team to New Heights

These challenging programs are an excellent tool for developing leadership and addressing issues of trust, goal setting, and personal accountability. This is not a program for everyone, but when appropriate for the group and their specific goals, can produce powerful and long lasting results. Through our skilled facilitation, this environment becomes an active learning laboratory where the group deliberately and specifically initiates positive change.

Most programs range in length from 1 to 3 days and require no climbing experience. Each session is custom designed and may include outdoor team building activities, topical classroom sessions, assessments, or other possible program components.

PERSONAL GOAL SETTING:
Success is not completing an event, but achieving what you set out to accomplish. Someone climbing 5 rungs of a Ships Ladder may achieve more than someone else completing every event on a course. Personal achievement is our goal.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT / TEAM SUPPORT:
Leadership is a two way street. It requires trust and communication from the leader, but also support and commitment from the team. Challenge courses require all of these components.

RISK TAKING:
Extensive safety systems actually make these events very safe, but being off the ground naturally makes most people uneasy. The same question often applies to business, is the risk real or only perceived?

SAMPLE EVENTS

Ships Ladder

One method of beginning a ropes course is to climb a large net constructed of rope reminiscent of those seen on old sailing ships. The climber is tied to a safety rope that is operated by their teammates.

Skill Focus: starting anything new is often the most difficult part, sometimes it’s easier than it looks, team support & encouragement make the difference

Multivine

Crossing a tightrope using a series of ropes hanging from above for balance may be harder than it appears. Since some ropes are spaced further apart than others, the challenge continually changes.

Skill Focus: achieving balance in your business life is critical, maintaining balance is difficult, letting go of what is comfortable to move ahead

Leap of Faith

Your goal is to leap off a platform in an attempt to grasp a suspended trapeze bar. Throughout, safety lines operated by your teammates protect you.

Skill Focus: defining personal commitment, goal setting, trust in yourself & teammates, reaching for excellence, personal challenge, fear of the unknown

NOTE: Participation in challenge events is always by the individual’s own choice. We strongly believe in the philosophy of “Challenge By Choice.”
