The Power of Motivation

Knowing and understanding what motivates others is a powerful leadership skill. This skill should be applied up and down the organizational ladder: for self, managers, colleagues, and direct reports. By effectively motivating others, you release the full potential of your employees. The advantages to being positively motivated include an employee who is more satisfied with their job and higher quality work for the company. Participants will learn motivation techniques, explore different motivational models, and practice applying these principles to their specific work environment.


Participants will learn how to:

Discover why different people are motivated differently and examine the difference between motivators and satisfiers.

• Manage And Motivate Different People Differently
Explore how to give others what they need to keep them motivated and how to manage conflicting work values, while working toward the common goal.

• Manage ”Problem” People
Discover how to deal with negativity, overly sensitive or unhappy people, and how to handle personal problems.

• Keep Top Performers Motivated
We often spend the majority of our time on problem employees. Explore techniques for keeping the high performers going.

• Work Together And Utilize Differences
Participants will examine how to pull it all together, utilizing strengths and developing weaknesses, and what to do when nothing else works.
