Coaching
Across Distance
Effective coaching skills can dramatically improve
one’s ability to motivate and manage other members of
a team. This becomes increasing difficult when managing
people out in the field. Participants examine the
difference between a manager and a coach, and they explore
how to coach on an ongoing, consistent basis, even over
distances. This program will give managers the tools they
need to coach people in the field effectively. We will
explore ways of quickly assessing what an individual needs
and how to best meet those needs to improve their
effectiveness. Participants also look at their own coaching
style and discuss how to deal with difficult coaching
situations.
