Continuous
Learning
Continuous improvement is the only sustainable advantage
any organization has. Participants focus on how they and
their companies can continuously improve by utilizing the
five disciplines of Peter Senge’s “Learning
Organization.” Participants then explore ways to
apply these concepts and the principles of continuous
learning to themselves and those they work with.
Participants will explore:
• What Is A Learning Organization?
The five disciplines of the Learning Organization are:
systems thinking, personal mastery, mental models, shared
vision, and team learning. By applying theses principals
and the idea of continuous learning to your company, you
can dramatically improve your overall performance.
• Why Will Continuous Learning Help?
In today’s competitive environment, failing to
support continuous learning will simply result in lost
ground. Focusing on developing your people will ensure you
stay on track and ahead of the competition.
• What Is My Learning Style?
Knowing what your preferred learning style is, and how to
best use it, will enhance continuous learning for yourself
and those you work with.
• Using Creativity And Systems Thinking To Enhance
Capacity
Keeping the big picture in mind is crucial, but often hard
to do as we get focused on our specific jobs. By using
specific tools, you can enhance creativity, encourage
learning from mistakes, and help others see how their
actions affect other areas of the business.
• How To Identify Areas Of Need For Yourself And Your
Work Force
Knowing both your strengths and weaknesses is critical for
moving forward. Explore ways to assess your learning needs
and the learning needs of those around you.
• How To Foster Continuous Learning Within Your Team
Making this process your own is the only way it will work.
Explore how others have succeeded, and how you can make it
fit your organization.
