LTI has teamed with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County to bring you an amazing opportunity to give back to the community while building valuable team skills. As you work through the day, physically constructing a home, our professional business consultants will lead facilitated discussions to help fine-tune your team. From planning and communication, to coordination and execution, you will experience first-hand skills that are critical for your business success. As with every LTI program, emphasis is placed on how to apply these concepts back at work, helping ensure that positive progress is maintained. For maximum impact, consider pairing a Habitat program with a topical or planning session such as Business Communication, Strategic Planning, Virtual Team Work, or Collaboration and Empowerment.

SAMPLE APPLICATIONS:

Strategic Planning
Strategic plans are the backbone of any successful business. Your group will hone these important skills by developing a plan to accomplish the day’s goals within the time allotted while meeting Habitat’s high standards for quality.

Managing Processes
When under pressure, most of us cope by working faster rather than smarter. Here, the team will focus on asking the right questions to get the job done right the first time. They also practice using very short update meetings as a way to re-group, verify progress, and address scope creep before it gets out of hand. Performing different tasks in a new environment will also force the group to shift from “autopilot” and really analyze their approach to teamwork.

Evaluation and Adjustment
Rarely does a business plan go as expected and to survive, you have to adapt. Your group will need to constantly evaluate their progress and make necessary adjustments to processes to maintain standards while staying on schedule.
